The Lincoln County Economic Development Authority is the guiding force for expanding the tax base and promoting the development of new jobs for all the citizens of Lincoln County. Lincoln County currently has 3 industrial parks that are working within the county. The Stanford Business Park, the new 235 acre Lincoln Business Park, and Crab Orchard Business Park. Matt Belcher is the Executive Director and comes to Lincoln Co. with local government experience in the areas of ED, infrastructure planning, grant writing, public administrative services, as well as city management. The prime objective of the organization is to retain the existing businesses, assist them to grow both financially and increase the number of employees, to assist local entrepreneurs with business development and financing, and to recruit new businesses to Lincoln County. This is accomplished through working with the state offices, the Governorâs Office, the local Area Development District, Regional funding sources, SBA, Local Banks and their own revolving loan funds. The LCEDA also provides mentoring, works with consultants for the company, and provides technical assistance on the local level. They assist with incentive packages that are developed for the project and provide other actions that are taken to make it easy to do business in Stanford and Lincoln County. The LCEDA has expanded their scope of work to include Tourism development and commercial development along with industrial development.
