This department provides for the planning functions of the city. Zoning enforcement along with building and electrical inspections are also provided by this department. Subdivision regulations within the city and within a two mile radius outside the city are controlled by this department. Permits are handled through the city 606-365-4500. Inspections are done through the county 606-365-4507.
Signs must be approved by code enforcement officer Kenny McDaniel.
